Bargain Books!

I honestly don't know if this has been done by anyone else before, so if you know someone that has let me know so that I can give them credit. With the tough economy and our growing love for books, sometimes we need to shift through the bargain racks to see what we can find on sale. Every week I will list a few books that I have found that are good deals & good reads!

               Soulless by Christopher Golden
Times Square, New York City: The first ever mass séance is broadcasting live on the Sunrise morning show. If it works, the spirits of the departed on the other side will have a brief window -- just a few minutes -- to send a final message to their grieving loved ones... full description here. This is an intriguing Young Adult horror, the book has been described as "truly horrifying" and "devours you in one sitting" and you can get it for only $3.98 on Amazon!
The Luxe by Anna Godberson The story opens in 1899 with the funeral of Elizabeth Holland, a well-bred beauty said to have plunged to her death in the Hudson River. The narrative then travels back several weeks, tracing the relationships and events that have led to the somber assembly. This tangled web includes not one but two sets of star-crossed lovers; an upstairs/downstairs romance; a scheming social climber; a bitter servant girl; and oodles of money, all set in a Edith Wharton via Hollywood vision of Old New York. Find it at Amazon for only $3.48.
Pants on Fire by Meg Cabot Katie Ellison is a big-time liar: she is running for the title of Quahog Princess, but she can't stand the clams her town is famous for, and she juggles two boyfriends. But the lie that weighs on her soul the most is the big secret that she is keeping about her former best friend, Tommy. To complicate matters, Tommy suddenly returns to town after a four-year absence that began after he spilled the beans about local football players who cheated on their SATs. Katie sorts through her attraction to multiple guys, including Tommy, who became all grown up and gorgeous while he was away. Lightweight and predictable, this is still an enjoyable read that's sure to be popular with Cabot's many fans. A Bargain on Amazon for only $2.24!!!
